An exciting opportunity for a Vice President or Director to join our Equity Derivative Flow Sales business here in London. This is a senior sales position driving client revenue growth and market share with Equity Derivative Flow clients in Europe. We are looking for candidates with experience with either Hedge Fund or Swiss financial institutions. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
- Manage and grow a portfolio of institutional clients while partnering closely with trading, structuring and research teams.
- Originate, structure and execute equity derivatives transactions across available products and help develop new payoff.
- Drive new business development and cross selling opportunities.
- Mentor junior sales team members and contribute to leadership.
- Set ambitious revenue, market share and interaction targets and drive strategic growth plans for the relevant client.
- Drive cross selling across Global Markets asset classes and with our Senior Relationship Management (SRM) team – promulgate the deep partnership amongst all stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
- Equity Derivative Sales experience with strong product knowledge for either Hedge Fund or Swiss Financial Institutions.
- Strong client relationship and proven track record of revenue generation and client franchise development.
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-moving market.
- Relevant licenses/certifications.
- European language/s an advantage.
- Revenue / business growth mindset and effective client management.
- Effective personal, written, verbal communication (Critical).
- Account management skills.
- Rapid absorption of technical skills, new systems.
- Detail and process orientation.
- Understanding of European and global regulations.
- Bloomberg user.
- Word and Excel.
