We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Security Developer to join our team in the Fenchurch office in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions to enhance RBC’s cloud security posture, and will also contribute to the developer experience and foster a culture that encourages best security practices.

What will you do?

  • Establish core services and security controls across Azure, AWS, GCP and Kubernetes environments.
  • Design and build cloud security solutions using automation, config as code, and TDD principles.
  • Implement SRE practices to enhance operational processes and reliability.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to align on technical strategies.
  • Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and enhance the cloud security strategy.
  • Lead and participate in delivering end-to-end integrated solutions.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Familiarity with modern software development, DevOps, and SRE practices.
  • Experience in Python.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Experience working with container tools and platforms.
  • Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as ARM, CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Must be available for on-call support.

Nice to have

  • Experience with observability tools and frameworks such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc.
  • Experience with Open Policy Agent.
  • Experience in Go, TypeScript, or other modern programming languages.
  • Cloud or security certifications.
