We help clients meet their financial goals through investments, financial planning, trust, credit, and banking capabilities.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Portfolio Manager to join the RBC Brewin Dolphin team in London on a 6 month FTC.

What will you do?

  • Analyse client’s aims and needs to construct solutions and portfolios as a tool for advisors to communicate to clients.
  • Produce proposals and analytical information to an excellent standard to support Wealth Management colleagues with client advice and relationships.
  • Deliver ongoing monitoring and review, making or suggesting changes where appropriate to deliver continued suitability of investments.
  • Able to review, analyse and make changes to client portfolios in reaction to market forces or changing client circumstances using own knowledge, Research Department outputs and with the input of more senior Portfolio Managers and Wealth Managers.
  • Demonstrate ability to build rapport and interact with clients and professionals across the industry effectively.
  • Understand and comply with all of the relevant regulations and principles applying to the role as a Certified Person with the Regulator.
  • Good and continuing expansion of market and portfolio management knowledge across a broad range of client scenarios and specialisms e.g. Charities/Trusts.
  • If the role allows a certified person, you may make discretionary decisions and provide advice to clients on changes to their portfolio.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Previous experience as a Portfolio Manager within a wealth management business.
  • CISI Level 7 Wealth Management Masters or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of portfolio management.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of the market and regulation changes through Continuous Professional development (CPD).
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets/risk management techniques/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to flourish in changing environments, learning from experience and adapting to new situations to achieve objectives.
  • Willing to learn new ways to accomplish working activities and embraces change.
  • Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines/work within restricted timescales.
  • Flexible and reliable team member.
