Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The role of Junior Trade Support Analyst will focus on supporting the London based OTC Derivative and Structured Product desks, covering Credit, Rates and Equity. This role provides an understanding of the products and system infrastructure, which allows us to provide best‑in‑class trade execution to RBC’s investment professionals and the highest degree of service to our clients. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Where required, perform validation of trade bookings, ensuring complete accuracy for downstream processing.
  • Perform trade enrichment from F/O instruction.
  • Take the necessary action to assist with resolving trade and cash breaks, ensure F/O are made aware when required and that the BCS escalation procedures are followed.
  • Perform data reconciliations as required and in line with team procedures.
  • Assist in facilitating the setup of new broker/counterparty/client accounts within the relevant systems.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed on a daily basis and correctly captured.

Must-have

  • Experience with OTC Derivatives or Structured Products and the relevant events associated with these trades.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Display clear and concise communications skills.
  • Aptitude to develop relationship cooperatively with all levels of the team.

Nice-to-have

  • Technical proficiency in financial systems and exchanges: Bloomberg Terminal, Murex, Sophis, DTCC TradeServ, ICE, LCH.
  • Experience of downstream processing of OTC Derivatives or Structured Products.
