Equities Systematic Risk Trading – develop innovative systematic liquidity provisioning solutions for RBC’s European equity products.

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for an individual to join Equities Systematic Risk Trading and help develop innovative systematic liquidity provisioning solutions to advance RBC’s European offerings in equity products. The role will entail using advanced quantitative and analytical techniques to solve client problems, maximise commercial opportunities for the firm, while ensuring disciplined risk management.

What will you do?

  • Develop and scale systematic liquidity provisioning strategies in Europe, creating a framework for risk pricing, managing automated facilitation engines, optimising unwind and hedging strategies, and providing comprehensive post‑trade analytics.
  • Work closely with the North American systematic team to expand the business globally and support daily trading activities in Europe.
  • Work closely with Technology teams to architect scalable solutions that support systematic business growth.
  • Collaborate with various internal trading teams and stakeholders to facilitate equity order flow, and manage the risk and P&L of the trading books.
  • Constantly strive to increase notional facilitated and create commercial outcomes through continuous process enhancements.

What you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s (or advanced) Degree in engineering, finance, economics, or mathematics.
  • Proven experience in financial services.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with experience in data analysis.
  • Analytical thinking and capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong development skills in Python, KDB, C++ (or equivalent programming languages).
  • Technical skills that help drive solutions to improve business performance and the operating environment.
  • Strong team player able to work with resources across Capital Markets and Enterprise teams.
