Job Description
What is the opportunity?
You will help lead regulatory relations and compliance management activities for the GRM function in Europe, and support on relevant related projects.
This role is expected to provide thought leadership and develop and improve practices and approaches to ensure effective management of regulatory risks.
You will report to the Director – ERM Regulatory Change and Project Management, and will work closely in conjunction with the ERM Europe team members.
What will you do?

Lead GRM Europe regulatory relations and compliance activities including:

Reviewing Horizon Scanning outputs to ensure relevance and engaging subject matter experts where necessary.

Coordinating risk and impact assessments for new and changing regulatory expectations.

Updating senior management on regulatory changes and communications relevant to GRM.

Managing RCM governance for GRM Europe, including the GRM RCM Committee
-
Coordinating and reviewing regulatory responses from GRM, including responses to regulatory surveys and Consultation Papers.

Manage regulatory interpretation process, including providing support and advice to regulation owners on potential interpretations.

Assist with regulatory related change management, including providing project management support

Support other ERM Europe activities across the team including Business Management, ESG Risks, Model Risk and AI Risk Oversight.

Develop strong working relationships with internal partners and stakeholders, including the functional teams, and RBC business segments.

Experience working within an area subject to financial services regulatory compliance requirements.

Experience in creating reporting and presentation for senior management usage.

High quality of work and strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Ability to produce clear, concise and well-written documents.

Ability to manage well under pressure and tight deadlines; works well with changing priorities in a dynamic team environment.
