What is the opportunity? You will be an Analyst, Performance & Analytics for Global Asset Management (GAM), providing accurate and timely investment performance reporting and analysis with a strong emphasis on automation and process improvement. You will leverage Python and emerging AI technologies to design and automate performance measurement workflows, whilst collaborating cross-functionally with investment teams and fund accounting. This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the office at our London location.
What will you do?
- Develop and automate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports using Python and other automation tools
- Design workflows to digitise and streamline performance measurement data for use across the business
- Work with investment teams and fund accounting to develop accurate and relevant performance reporting based on investment approaches
- Ensure accurate pricing, classifications, transactions and corporate actions of securities held in portfolios
- Maintain details on portfolio holdings and characteristics for internal marketing, compliance, and third-party data vendors
- Analyse performance results in detail at the individual security level, asset class, region, and total portfolio level
- Compile and maintain GIPS® composite performance data using GAM systems, ensuring performance data accurately reflects portfolio status
- Support attribution analysis as needed to provide insights on investment performance drivers
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Degree in Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative discipline
- Analytically skilled, creative problem solver with strong experience producing, analysing and manipulating large sets of data and meticulous attention to detail
- Robust understanding of fixed income securities, rate of return calculations, and awareness of security types across multiple asset classes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management/storage skills
- Strong technology skills in SQL and Python
Nice-to-have
- Experience or exposure to the investment industry
- Candidate or completion of CFA or CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement)
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Eagle or similar portfolio accounting and performance software
