What is the opportunity?

We have a great opportunity for an Analyst to join our team in London.

This role will be responsible for providing Investment Banking services (M&A, ECM, DCM and leverage finance) to corporate and private equity clients within the Mining & Metals sector.

What will you do?

  • Assist in the marketing and execution of M&A, equity financing and debt financing transactions, working closely in co-operation with local and global teams across the Mining & Metals sector
  • Assist in preparation of high-quality marketing pitchbooks and related materials
  • Build comprehensive financial models and perform valuation analysis to support mandated deals and client presentations
  • Conduct in-depth research and financial analysis
  • Gather, organise and synthesise public market data and financial information from multiple sources to support deal teams
  • Produce and maintain various databases

What do you need to succeed?

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with academic coursework in finance, accounting or a related quantitative discipline/ equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in Investment Banking Sector or Transaction Advisory (mining sector / M&A transaction experience will be preferred)
  • A strong understanding of the sector, including key players, strategic dynamics, and current industry challenges would be desirable
  • Comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used in the sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively within collaborative, fast‑paced team environments
  • Nice to have
  • CFA level 1, 2 or 3 or ACA
