What is the opportunity? To work on preparing market, strategic and financial analysis for Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Broking clients, as well as advising clients on their strategy and the successful implementation of transactions.
What will you do?
- Assisting in execution of mandated deals
- Assisting in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
- Updating clients with market movements and peer news
- Gathering public information through numerous sources
- Conducting financial analysis (including but not limited to valuation, shareholder and comparable analysis)
- Drafting marketing documents for clients
- Producing and maintaining various databases
- General research on specific clients and sectors
What do you need to succeed?
- Candidates should have some knowledge of financial services accounting
- An understanding of financial markets and the role equity markets play for corporates
- Sound judgment, with strong analytical skills
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients at all levels
- Rigorous work ethic and willingness to invest time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately
- Knowledge of Investment Banking services and the ability to apply them creatively to diverse client needs
- Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Some information source experience: Bloomberg, Reuters, Thomson Financial, Capital IQ or FactSet
- Degree level qualification or equivalent
Nice to have:
- ACA or CFA
- An additional European language would be an advantage.
