We are looking for someone to join our team as an Analyst / Associate. You will ensure a robust Front Office Control Framework for Global Markets, including reporting and monitoring so that the business can evidence that it has the appropriate level of Supervision in place that will enable it to reasonably identify conduct issues or practices. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a robust Supervisory program, designed to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Ensure effective execution of designated FO Supervisory and Risk Management controls within Global Markets.
  • Responsible for components of Regulatory Change Management and the implementation and ongoing Supervisory oversight of key regulatory initiatives on behalf of Front Office, including the management of BAU processes associated with each initiative.
  • Work closely with IT and Front Office to leverage expertise and technology where possible, in an effort to automate and reduce inefficiencies related to Supervisory reviews.
  • Engage with internal audit and other control functions regarding business-driven Supervisory oversight.
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.

Qualifications

Must-Have: University degree in a quantitative subject; Experience and understanding of a global financial markets business either as a front office employee or in a support role.

Nice-to-have: Experience in a risk or control environment (surveillance, supervision, compliance, audit, risk management, assurance) would be beneficial but not essential; Trading or sales experience also an advantage but not required.
