What is the opportunity?
This position is a 12 month FTC maternity cover working predominantly out of our 12 Smithfield Street, London office.
RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?

To support the Senior Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller, and the wider Management Accounts Team, to deliver the monthly financial result.

To be responsible for monthly income reporting, understanding, and taking ownership of the numbers and able to explain them with meaningful messaging.

To report, comment and then explain the numbers to key stakeholders (both internally and externally to Finance).

To take full responsibility for certain sections of the P&L and B/S and to be regarded as the ‘expert’ amongst your peers.

Business partnering with Front Office functions and branch heads, demonstrating complete understanding of their performance.

Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and navigate across both RBC & RBCBD systems for attestation.

Aiding with the half and full year audits.

To participate in the annual Budget and 5 year Plan.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

ACA/ACCA/CIMA (passed finalist/0-2yrs qualified).

Working in a high-paced deadline driven environment.

Excel – Advanced general user, pivot tables and IF statements.

A keen eye for detail and an inquisitive mind.

Finance systems – TM1, Pegasus Opera GL, generic General Ledgers and reporting systems experience (Power BI).
Nice-to-have

Experience in Power BI.

Knowledge of Financial Services.
