Join our Onboarding & Maintenance team for a 12-month contract role based in our Newcastle office! You'll be joining our client onboarding team, handling the core operational and administrative tasks that keep everything running smoothly. Working alongside experienced team members, you'll support both our internal teams and external partners while building valuable skills in a collaborative, supportive environment. Note: This is a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract role with a minimum of 4 days working from the Newcastle office - flexibility that works for you.

What will you do?

  • Get it right, first time: Deliver accurate work to strict deadlines, supporting client account onboarding and data maintenance across multiple systems.
  • Keep things organised: Help your line manager maintain up-to-date departmental guides, procedures and processes.
  • Create useful insights: Produce management information and reports using tools like ActiveOps.
  • Flag issues early: Spot operational risks, errors or workload challenges and elevate them to management.
  • Spot opportunities: Suggest ways to simplify processes through our Little 'i' innovation programme.
  • Lend a hand on projects: Support wider team initiatives where needed.
  • Play by the rules: Follow all RBC policies and regulatory standards.
  • Be part of the bigger picture: Contribute to team goals and feel empowered to have your say.

Requirements

  • Sharp attention to detail and solid time management.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear communication skills - written and verbal - across all interactions.
  • Openness to change and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Experience in an operational or administrative role.

Nice-to-have

  • Background in financial services or client onboarding.
  • Experience with multiple systems and data platforms.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methods.
