We have an excellent opportunity for a Portfolio Management Assistant to join our London office on a permanent basis. In this role you’ll gain hands‑on experience across the full wealth management lifecycle – from portfolio proposals and client reviews to trade execution and business development. This is a great opportunity to develop deep expertise in asset allocation, stock selection and client portfolio composition, while building a strong foundation in Wealth Management. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely.
What will you do?
- Develop your knowledge of Wealth Management, the wider business offering and the Financial Services sector.
- Support the Portfolio Manager(s) and Wealth Manager(s) in production of portfolio proposals, reviews and associated client administration.
- Execute trades on instruction from CP Portfolio Manager or Wealth Manager, where appropriate.
- Complete all work according to procedures and standards.
- Collate and verify the accuracy of information and work provided.
- Assist in preparation of review a new client meeting.
- Support business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
- Assist team members as required and work effectively with colleagues.
What do you need to succeed?
- Must-have: An understanding of portfolio management, client advice processes and industry knowledge.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Nice-to-have: Minimal experience in Wealth Management.
- Degree educated.
- Working towards/attains CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the market and regulation changes.
