We are seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team, overseeing and managing a range of steel construction/erection projects across multiple locations within the UK. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience with a strong background in construction of steel framed buildings and a broad understanding of disciplines within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide best value solutions to clients whilst also maintaining consistent profit margins for the Company.
- Maintain best value from approved suppliers and/or develop networks to seek new suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Maintain and enhance current client relationships and develop new business opportunities through research, word of mouth, existing contracts etc.
- Project handover & planning.
- Site surveys, programming, site inspections & ensuring project timelines are kept.
- Communicate information to the fellow Management Team, the drawing office, shop floor and erection crews, to ensure contracts are delivered on time, to the required standards within budget, whilst maximising client satisfaction.
- React to client requirements in a methodical manner to minimise disruption to current workflow/projects.
- End of month client valuations.
- Due to regular work in education and HMP settings candidates must have no criminal record and preferably have an up to date DBS certificate.
- Candidates should be enthused by the role and committed to helping support and grow the business.
- Travel nationwide to oversee contracts on site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Contract Management within the steel or manufacturing industry; familiarity with procurement processes is essential.
- Strong knowledge of legal drafting, document review, and compliance management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting complex contractual information clearly.
