At the core of the club’s philosophy is the Birley family’s traditions of style and elegance with a team that consistently delivers personal exceptional service to the club's members and their guests. 5 Hertford Street comprises five floors that accommodate Loulou’s nightclub, four restaurants, four bars, a private dining room, cigar shop, a courtyard, and a roof terrace. Established in 2018, Oswald’s, also based in Mayfair, London, is the other social club in the group’s current portfolio. Boasting 2 outstanding restaurants, Oswald’s real focus is on true wine lovers. The club offers members world‑class dining and access to the world's best and most exclusive wines. In March 2025, our newest social club Maxime’s opened on the Upper East Side in New York, housing 3 restaurants and 2 bars. Other group businesses include Birley Sandwiches, comprising 9 stores across the City and Canary Wharf, and Birley Bakery also with 2 stores in London and 1 new site in New York.

Due to an internal promotion, we now have an exceptional opportunity to join our people team as HR Manager. In this pivotal role, you will work as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping to shape and implement HR strategies that support business performance while upholding the exceptional service standards and culture that define RB Holdings.

What you will do as our HR Manager:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to department leaders, providing pragmatic guidance across HR matters in line with company culture, values and employment legislation.
  • Deputise for the Group HR Manager co‑leading the HR team to deliver consistent, high‑quality and commercially focused people support.
  • Undertake core HR activities including employee relations, performance management, engagement, wellbeing, learning and development, and talent retention.
  • Lead and support complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, timely and legally compliant investigations, outcomes and documentation.
  • Co‑lead the development and optimisation of HR systems and people data, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality and effective reporting.
  • Produce and analyse people metrics and insights to support workforce planning, people costs and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Ensure compliance across HR policies, GDPR, audits, global mobility and visa processes, while keeping up to date with best practice and industry trends.

Working Hours: Monday- Friday 9am – 6pm

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of HR experience at a minimum supervisory level
  • Luxury hospitality experience is preferred whilst operational hospitality experience is advantageous.
  • Experience working with Dayforce is preferred, whilst HRIS experience is essential.
  • CIPD Level 5 or working towards is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
