Description
- The Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, supports sale day activities, and checks out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to Ritchie Bros.\’ customer service standards is expected.
Qualifications
- Good customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Receives and releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction.
- Uses auction listings to organize equipment display prior to auction.
- Drives and operates heavy and light equipment.
- Performs facility inspections and provides housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
- Performs basic maintenance on RBA-owned equipment.
- Manages keys for equipment.
- Operates forklift to load/unload stationary equipment.
- Handles equipment boosting.
- Performs basic assembly of equipment, e.g., dozer blades.
- Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
- Assigns lot numbers to equipment.
- Sets out signage, flags, and trash receptacles for auction day.
- Operates sound truck.
- Holds ‘This item for sale’ signs (stick person).
- Places operators in rolling stock.
- Parks sold equipment on the ramp.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
