12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Overall Purpose of Role: The purpose of this role is to maximise all contact time to arrange the collection of vehicles, calling both policy holders and holding garages, confirming charges, and booking collection dates in line with SLA’s. This is a customer and client facing role, so a professional and friendly approach is required at all times.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Vehicle Collections Scheduling
  • Call policy holders, following company GDPR training/script, to arrange collection of accident damaged vehicles ensuring correct information is collected and all drivers' notes updated accordingly.
  • Calling Holding garages and/or accident repair centres, taking any charges the vehicle may have occurred ensuring correct information is collected and the drivers' notes updated accordingly.
  • Negotiating charges to ensure value for money for all the company’s clients, following company guidelines relating to standard police charges.
  • Confirm with holding garages/accident repair centres method of payment required, update charges database with information.
  • Liaise with client team to ensure all received charges are approved before the collection is allocated to a driver.
  • Work with Vehicle Collection Scheduling to ensure all collections are booked within customer SLA’s.
  • Own your collection area, making certain that collections are updated daily and ensuring client team are aware of any issues with collections.
  • Ensure all files called are up to date, adding notes when and where required.
  • General office duties such as dealing with enquiries, typing, scanning, database updates, filing, etc.
  • Assist in dealing with queries and issues from customers, suppliers & members of the public.
  • Complete all tasks deemed to be a reasonable request by the department management in a timely, efficient and safe manner.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Good IT Skills
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and under pressure

Knowledge: Aware of contract SLA’s and have the ability to work to these.

Qualifications/Certificates/Education: Math's and English GCSE or equivalent.

Personal Qualities/Other:

  • Comfortable/confident negotiating collection charges
  • Able to work off own initiative at times
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Be able to manage and prioritise workloads
  • Positive ‘Can Do’ Attitude
