RB Fleet Solutions LTD have expanded due to the increasing demand, and we have opened up another new position for 2 HGV Mechanics to join our team as soon as possible. Our workshop is located within Minworth/Sutton Coldfield, minutes from the M6. You will be expected to carry out jobs both mobile and in the workshop depending on the level of work. Some days you may be out in your van from your start time to your finishing time, but sometimes you may find yourself in the workshop. No 2 days will be the same.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Enthusiastic, Highly Motivated, Experienced HGV Mechanic
- Appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B-TEC qualifications
- Class 1 License - Desirable but not required
- 6 Years + Experience
- Can do attitude - with the ability to work alone
- High levels of customer service
- Team player
- Tail Lift / LOLER - Desirable
- Double Deck Experience - Desirable
- ABS / Diagnostic trained
What Does The Role Include?
- Working within the West Midlands from a fully equipped mobile van
- Attend customer sites carrying out Routine Maintenance, Defect Repairs
- Roadside Assistance / Breakdowns
- Carry out MOT Preparations (if you have a Class 1 you will take them for test also)
- Carry out a wide range of HGV Repairs / Defects from Bulbs, Curtain Repairs to Brake Relines, Replacing Axles etc.
- Ensure your job cards are completed in a timely manner
- Workshop jobs may include Brake Testing, Steaming etc. as well as planned repairs
- On occasions, if it suits within your working hours you may be asked to travel around the UK to breakdowns
- You will be working on a range of different Models / Makes of Trucks & Trailers each day
- The ability to follow company procedures & requests
We work with Fleet Providers as well as independent transport companies within the Midlands, working wherever our customers need you. You would be required to work using your own initiative with a positive can-do attitude. You would be required to follow company procedures, have high levels of customer service and be an overall great team player. We offer a high level service to our customers; we don't just take on jobs & turn up, we deliver our service effectively. Sometimes this may mean going the extra mile. Quality is key!
