Forklift Driver - Reporting to the Floor Manager

We have 3 branches, 2 in Glasgow and 1 at Gateshead in the North East of England and we are about to open a new branch in the Greater Manchester area.

We are primarily a Cash & Carry Wholesale business with a wide product portfolio consisting of Beers, Wines, Spirits, Soft Drinks, Confectionary, Crisps and Snacks, Household and Grocery.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, moving, checking, and storing incoming goods using a forklift.
  • Unloading deliveries with a forklift truck.
  • Matching up deliveries from the goods received note to the relevant purchase order.
  • Proactively liaising with the shop floor supervisors to ensure space for deliveries.
  • Reporting any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and complete orders for transfer or delivery.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment.

Skills Required

Able to work in a high-volume, fast paced role.

  • Work in a safe manner conforming to all health & safety rules & regulations when operating a forklift truck.
  • Highly accurate and have excellent attention to detail in your work.
  • Able to work well in a team.
  • Able to work quickly and to deadlines.
  • Have a forklift truck licence (or willing to perform the required training to obtain).
