We are looking for a Finance Assistant – Accounts Receivable to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Invoice and Payment Management (25%)
    • Ensure all monies owed to the business are collected and processed accurately and promptly to minimise bad debt and maximise cash flow.
    • Proactively chase overdue invoices via telephone and email.
    • Produce accurate client statements of account and reconcile credit notes and invoices.
  • Credit Control and Risk Management (30%)
    • Evaluate new credit requests using Credit Safe and take appropriate action in line with company policy.
    • Maintain accurate records of payments and outstanding balances.
    • Monitor and report on aged debt and escalate issues as needed.
  • Customer and Internal Collaboration (25%)
    • Respond to internal and client-facing queries in line with razorblue's customer charter.
    • Provide accounts information to internal departments and support resolution of queries.
    • Provide cover for other finance roles during holidays, sickness, or study leave.
  • Systems and Reporting (20%)
    • Use financial systems to update payments, monitor money owed, and maintain audit trails.
    • Support the preparation of Month end reports for management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Contribute to the development of automated cash flow and debtor metrics reporting.

Qualification
AAT Level 3 or 4 is desirable.

Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in Finance, ideally in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable role.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.

Skills
Strong attention to detail and numerical literacy.
Confident communicator with excellent time management.
Excellent relationship building skills.
Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs).
Ability to self-manage workload and prioritise effectively.
People centric approach & service.
Excellent conversational fluency in English.

Knowledge
Familiar with accounting procedures, ledgers and general accounts.
Experience of ERP systems or similar would be advantageous.
