We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team of like-minded tech people.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve monitoring issues for our internal infrastructure.
- Ensure core networking and hosting platforms perform at optimal levels.
- Design, plan, and test networking platform projects—maintenance, expansion, and upgrades.
- Own delivery of internal projects to a high standard.
- Escalate to the service desk for client issues that cannot be resolved.
- Mentor non-senior engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
- Participate in our on‑call rota for the Networks team.
Qualifications:
- Service Provider or Enterprise Network (Juniper/Cisco/etc.) certification at the "Professional" level; Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer or equivalent Next‑Generation Firewall certification (desirable).
- Working knowledge of the ITIL framework.
- Extensive experience with multi‑vendor products—Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks experience is desirable.
- Proven experience in planning and implementing networking projects.
- Experience using monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, Nagios, and Splunk.
- Experience working with complex Wi‑Fi deployments & Unified Communications.
- Experience working with BGP in an ISP environment.
- Experience working in an MPLS environment.
- Strong understanding of ticket systems, prioritisation, and SLAs.
- Full clean UK driving license.
- Excellent conversational fluency in English to clearly explain complex technical issues.
- Effective communication, methodical diagnosis and documentation, independent research, organisation, and prioritisation.
