We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. If you accept, your responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Resolving monitoring issues for our internal infrastructure.
  • Ensuring core networking and hosting platforms perform at optimal levels.
  • Designing, planning, and testing networking platform projects for maintenance, expansion, and upgrades.
  • Owning delivery of internal projects to a high standard.
  • Escalating client issues that the service desk cannot resolve.
  • Mentoring non-senior engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Participating in the Networks team on-call rota.

Technical Skills

  • Hold a Service Provider or Enterprise Network (Juniper/Cisco/etc) certification at the “Professional” level; Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer or equivalent Next-Generation Firewall vendor certification (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL Framework.
  • Extensive experience with multi-vendor products; Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks experience is desirable.
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing networking projects.
  • Experience using monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, etc.; experience with complex Wi-Fi deployments and Unified Communications.
  • Experience working with BGP in an ISP environment.
  • Experience working in an MPLS environment.
  • Strong understanding of ticket systems, prioritization, and SLAs.

  • Effective communication.
  • Methodical approach to diagnosis and documentation.
  • Independent research, organization, and prioritization.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Excellent conversational fluency in English to clearly explain complex technical issues.
