We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Our perfect candidate should have a wealth of knowledge spanning various technologies and be able to troubleshoot and deliver five-star solutions that keep our clients happy. Customer service is paramount, with excellent customer-facing skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients, markets, and business opportunities; develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads; work with Marketing on creative outbound sales campaigns.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients and partners; act as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets; negotiate contracts and close deals to drive revenue.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs; provide insights to inform product development and pricing strategies.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals; collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions for clients.
  • Networking & Partnerships: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions; establish strategic partnerships to expand market reach.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline status in the company’s CRM; prepare regular reports on business development performance and forecasts.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies; ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new clients.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term business growth strategies; identify new markets and opportunities for expansion.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all deals comply with company policies and legal requirements; assess risks associated with new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management; experience identifying and securing new business opportunities; strong negotiation and deal-closing experience.
  • Knowledge of previous technical experience (preferably in the IT/ ISP/ MSP marketplace) would be beneficial; understanding of market research and competitor analysis.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; exceptional telephone manner.

  • Determined, reliable, sociable, and enthusiastic; self-motivated, results driven, achievement oriented and able to use own initiative.
