Reporting to the Enterprise Solution Architect, the Power Platform Consultant is a member of the Solution Design team, responsible for designing and delivering modern Microsoft-based business solutions across razorblue’s client base. This role combines strong technical capability with commercial awareness and excellent customer engagement skills. You’ll work closely with customers, Account Managers, Project Managers, Consultants, and the Solution Architecture team to ensure all proposed solutions are scalable, commercially viable, and aligned with best practice. You’ll support pre‑sales engagements, contribute to technical solution design, and act as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience across the Microsoft ecosystem, with particular focus on Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, and emerging AI technologies such as Copilot and AI Builder. You’ll be comfortable switching between customer workshops, technical design sessions, pre‑sales discussions, and hands‑on technical delivery when required. This is a highly customer‑facing role requiring strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to simplify technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Customer Engagement & Consultancy (40%)
    • Lead customer workshops and discovery sessions to gather business and technical requirements.
    • Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Translate customer challenges into practical Microsoft‑based solutions.
    • Present technical solutions confidently to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
    • Support pre‑sales activities including technical scoping, demonstrations, and proposal development.
    • Work closely with Account Managers and the Solution Architecture team to support customer opportunities.
    • Balance technical recommendations with commercial considerations and customer outcomes.
  • Solution Design & Delivery (40%)
    • Design and deliver business solutions using technologies such as: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Copilot and AI technologies.
    • Produce solution documentation and technical design documentation in line with razorblue standards.
    • Support customers in modernising manual, spreadsheet‑driven, or legacy business processes.
    • Work alongside Consultants and Engineers to support successful implementation and delivery.
    • Ensure solutions follow best practice around governance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
    • Provide technical guidance and support throughout project delivery.
    • Support testing, validation, handover, and customer adoption activities where required.
  • Innovation, Governance & Continuous Improvement (20%)
    • Stay current with Microsoft roadmap developments, particularly around Power Platform, Fabric, AI, and Copilot technologies.
    • Promote best practice around Power Platform governance, licensing, environment strategy, and solution lifecycle management.
    • Support the development of internal standards, templates, and reusable solution frameworks.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical training initiatives.
    • Encourage innovation and adoption of modern Microsoft technologies across the wider business.

Person Specifications

Qualification

  • Must hold Full UK Driving Licence
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications desirable, such as:
    • Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant
    • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate
    • Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
    • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Administrator
    • Microsoft AI or Copilot related certifications

Experience

  • Strong Microsoft Stack experience including Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Experience with: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms
  • Understanding of Microsoft AI technologies including Copilot and AI Builder
  • Experience delivering customer‑facing technical solutions
  • Experience running customer workshops and gathering requirements
  • Pre‑sales or consultancy experience
  • Experience producing technical documentation and solution designs
  • Understanding of governance, security, and best practice within Microsoft environments
  • Experience with integrations and automation technologies desirable
