Overview
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will guide product delivery across the full lifecycle, from requirements to acceptance. You’ll work in a defence-focused environment, often on training systems, balancing technical oversight with delivery. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, procurement support, and stakeholder coordination, with travel and security clearance requirements. You will contribute to system architecture, documentation, and continuous improvement, in a hybrid, client-facing setup.

Responsibilities
- Define work packages and technical requirements with the Solution Architect
- Contribute to execution and delivery of key work packages
- Specify and qualify products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to procure and implement training devices
- Coordinate with subcontractors responsible for design and delivery
- Support problem resolution within the team and improve planned system operation
- Create and maintain system configuration documentation
- Champion EHS compliance and continuous improvement
- Travel as needed to support internal and customer meetings
Key requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent training
- Strong experience in systems engineering, especially the V-model
- Experience with systems engineering standards and techniques
- Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria
- Knowledge of Systems of Systems development
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% with a valid driving licence
- BPSS and SC clearance eligibility or possession
