Overview
In this role, you will lead the development and modernization of Royal Navy training materials within Raytheon UK’s CMDC capability.
You will coordinate multi-workstream capabilities, ensuring DSAT-aligned artifacts meet Navy requirements and quality standards.
You’ll drive collaboration across teams, translate requirements into actionable tasks, and safeguard delivery schedules.
The position offers impact in defence training transformation with opportunities to influence design practices and performance outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Royal Navy capabilities derived from Training Needs Analysis to deliver DSAT-aligned artifacts on time and to standard
- Facilitate collaborative workshops with other team leads
- Translate requirements into clear tasks and maintain the team backlog and schedule
- Allocate work packages, set priorities, and monitor progress against schedule, quality and assessment criteria
- Provide guidance on DSAT methodology, analysis techniques, and design standards
- Ensure outputs comply with JSP 822, DSAT principles and documentation standards
- Conduct regular duty reviews and support performance management and resource forecasting
- Act as escalation point for technical or procedural issues and communicate risks to Training Design Manager
- Validate learning outcomes align with operational requirements and Royal Navy competencies
- Represent training design at technical reviews, progress meetings, and design boards
- Contribute to monthly progress reports, metrics, and performance summaries
- Key requirements
- Experience communicating with stakeholders outside the training development team to gather technical information
- Awareness of DSAT (JSP 822) and ADDIE principles and their application to training design
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and quality assure multiple concurrent workstreams
- Capable of autonomous work and functioning within a team
- Ability to interpret technical and non-technical information for training design
- Ensure training designs align with best practices and internal quality standards
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Share Point)
