The Role:
To deliver high quality Electrical Maintenance within their SQEP on Training Equipment in line with Company standards and contractual requirements. Based predominately in the Portsmouth area there will be a requirement to travel to sites in the West Country & Scotland.
Main duties will include:
- Continually improve the way they contribute to the business
- Ensure that they are best equipped to support future change
- Ensure that they work in an effective collaborative manner with MoD staff, displaying the appropriate behaviours always.
- Be 'Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement'.
- Any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service.
- To assess reported breakdowns for rectification or escalation to external resource
- To act as the front line maintainer for breakdowns of Training Equipment assessed for rectification as directed by Maintenance Team Lead
- To liaise with external resources and assist as required to aid rapid rectification of defects outside of their SQEP.
- Carry out Planned Maintenance as directed by Maintenance Team Lead.
Required experience:
- Previous experience of servicing electrical equipment in a marine and/or military environment.
- Previous experience of fault finding, diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment.
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
- 18th Edition
- Problem solving Mind set
- IT literate
- Ability to work unsupervised.
Desirable experience:
- Experience of using Computerised Maintenance Systems
- Driving Licence
- Experience or knowledge of working on mechanical equipment.
