About the role:
In this role you’ll play a key part in the PMO function providing financial assurance and enabling Project and Programme Managers to make key business decisions. Key duties include:
- Approving expenses
- Ensuring accurate, timely client billing
- Performing variance analysis to prevent cost overruns
- Assisting with forecasting and tracking profitability throughout the project lifecycle
You’ll collaborate with the wider business functions including Finance, Commercial and Senior Leaders. The function has opportunities for career and professional development. You’ll support the delivery of projects and play an influential role within a collaborative culture for project success.
You’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking organisation where project finance is seen as the cornerstone of the Project Management Office. Skills and Experience:
- Excellent organisation skills and time management
- Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting and cost control
- Thrive in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, reports and deadlines and support changing priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and completeness in reports and records
- Confident communicator who can interact with stakeholders at all levels, from project team members to senior executives
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills
- Finance certification desirable but not essential
- Eligible for achieving SC security clearance
Responsibilities:
- Budget and cost control through weekly monitoring of labour/expenses to ensure correct time bookings and carry out variance to forecast analysis
- Document and records management via maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation such as client forecast trackers
- Financial Reporting by assisting the Project Managers with quarterly EACs and validating CIP balances
- Support new business opportunities through financial modelling
- Invoicing and billing of Monthly approval of client billing for all costs/expenses hitting specific projects
- Submit forecasts to clients in line with deadlines
