Raytheon UK has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Programme Security Officer to join the Raytheon UK Security Team in Warminster. As Programme Security Officer, you'll have experience working with classified material and be familiar with UK requirements for its handling and storage. You must be able to obtain SC clearance, and ideally be eligible for DV clearance. Additionally, you must be able to travel to a variety of UK sites or events as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day supervision, guidance and support involving all aspects of protective security relating to staff, information, and assets.
- Manage site access and access control throughout both facilities and ensure all necessary site accreditations are upheld.
- Liaising with Project / Programme teams and responding to customer security requirements.
- Manage the Cryptographic material as the Crypto Custodian if applicable.
- Manage the security of all applicable offsite and onsite events.
- Ownership of security procedures and ensure they are adhered to and associated risks are managed correctly.
- Providing the primary response to, and investigating security incidents in a timely manner, ensuring that they are dealt with appropriately or escalated if necessary.
- Highlighting and escalating any risks to the Project & Function.
- Accountable to the contracting authority for Security Aspects Letters (SAL) and managing the flow down of SAL requirements to 3rd parties / subcontractors.
- Accountable for the security requirements of all overseas travel to meet with HMG International Visits Control Office (IVCO) & Corporate requirements.
- Engagement with emergency services and law enforcement for the facility maintaining good working relationships.
- Liaising within the Supplier’s organisation, and between Raytheon and Security Officials of the ISAC and CA.
Required Skills And Experience
- Experience of working in a protective security role.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to deliver briefings and communicate with staff and clients across all business levels.
- High integrity, able to work with discretion and attention to detail.
- Proactive and capable of working without direct supervision.
- Team-oriented with interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- The ability to write and maintain security policies and procedures updating with evolving project business needs and ensuring compliance with HMG Security Policy Framework.
- Working knowledge of HMG Security Policy Framework, Information Assurance Standards and Good Practice Guides.
- Knowledge of the UK Defence Sector and its security requirements.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Membership of DISA and other professional IA bodies.
- Many of our roles require the ability to obtain a security clearance relevant to the position. A high-level security clearance already being held is desirable.
- Detailed understanding of HMG and OGD personnel vetting processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment, including the ability to brief up to Board Level Directors.
- Familiar with ISO 17799 & 27001 Security Frameworks.
- An understanding of the new Cabinet Office STAMP requirements.
