You’ll translate operational needs into technical designs, ensuring interoperability across multiple capabilities. You drive technical delivery while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with external partners. This hybrid role combines engineering leadership with hands-on system integration to advance national defence capabilities. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li strong benefits package /li li ongoing development opportunities /li li clear pathways to progression /li li inclusive, high-performing team /li li hybrid working arrangement /li li cross-organisational collaboration /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Define work packages and technical requirements with a multidisciplinary team /li li Lead requirement definition and produce designs /li li Serve as technical liaison between engineering teams and supply chain partners /li li Maintain records, lead audits, and ensure quality /li li Contribute to system engineering activities including product development and qualification /li li Assist in training environment analysis and delivery of advanced training concepts /li li Support maintenance, installation, and issue resolution /li li Contribute to and improve system operations /li li Mentor junior engineers and deputise for the Systems Solutions Lead /li li Promote Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance and continuous improvement /li li Other duties to meet programme needs /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Multidisciplinary systems engineering experience /li li Knowledge of ISO 15288 and System Engineering V-model lifecycles /li li Experience writing system requirements and design documentation /li li Experience creating ICDs and technical specifications /li li Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence /li li Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience /li li Experience leading a team in a complex environment /li li Ability to translate requirements into architectures and implementation plans /li li Experience with agile delivery environments (e.g., Agile or SAFe) /li li Experience with cloud hosting (AWS or Azure) /li li UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility /li /ul ul li Customer-first mindset /li li Strong stakeholder engagement /li li Collaborative team player in a multidisciplinary environment /li li Systems Engineering processes and standards /li li Requirements engineering and design documentation /li li V-model lifecycle knowledge /li /ul
