Overview

In this role, you will lead and coordinate a high-performing Integrated Project Team within Raytheon UK’s APNT group, steering bids and proposals for customer engagements. You will collaborate with Requirements, Capture and Commercial colleagues to shape compelling proposals and secure opportunities. The role offers national and international customer and supplier interactions and a path to growing a diverse IPT in a mission-driven environment. You will work in a culture focused on excellence, development, and delivering impactful defence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and coordinate bid/proposal activities
  • Shape and issue compelling proposals in collaboration with Requirements, Capture, and Commercial teams
  • Manage relationships with new and existing customers
  • Engage with customers and suppliers nationally and internationally
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment to grow the team
  • Respond quickly to changes with innovative, customer-focused thinking
  • Provide status and reporting to stakeholders across internal and external parties

Key requirements

  • Degree-qualified in technical, manufacturing or project management discipline or equivalent experience
  • Effective scope management aligned to customer requirements
  • Experience leading multi-disciplined teams
  • Risk and opportunity management knowledge and tools
  • Experience in project financial management and reporting
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within cost
  • Decision-making based on project performance data and metrics
  • Desirable: capture and proposal management experience
  • Desirable: stakeholder management including presenting to senior management
  • Desirable: project management qualification and P&L accountability
  • Desirable: ability to engage with technical experts and manage budgets
