Overview
In this Programme Director role, you will lead a Raytheon PMX-enabled programme within the Army Collective Training Service, coordinating with customers and partners to mobilise, deliver and continuously improve outcomes. You will establish governance, risk, and performance controls to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery across large, multi-site teams. You will model best-practice programme management, drive accountability, and coach the project organisation to sustain improvement. This position offers strategic influence across Raytheon, industry partners, and the defence customer, shaping how complex training programmes are executed and optimised.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver all contractual requirements within budgets, schedules, and performance standards
- Establish governance, risk management, reporting, and control frameworks for programme execution
- Promote programme management excellence (PMX) and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct regular governance engagements to assure delivery and success
- Coach and develop the programme team
- Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders (customer, partners, suppliers)
- Contribute to the Omnia Training senior leadership team
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for Programme Execution
- Contribute to Knowledge and Skills development across the PMX function
Key requirements
- Proven track record delivering complex programmes, preferably in a prime contractor and systems integration context
- Experience in partnering environments in a prime contractor role with customer and other contractors
- Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams
- History of delivering business transformation through innovation and new processes
- Strong commercial, financial and performance management skills for large projects
- Experience using industry-standard project management tools, techniques, and methodologies
- SC MOD security clearance holder or eligible
