Raytheon UK have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on our Gloucester or Manchester sites. As Senior Software Engineer, you'll be part of our experienced software development function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas. This role requires all candidates to be eligible and willing to proceed for SC clearance and eDV clearance. This area of the business proves DevSecOps at scale, with capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber and geospatial intelligence to support the defence, intelligence and cyber sectors. The team collaborates with customers and suppliers to deliver secure, mission critical systems using the latest technologies and innovations.
Responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience
- Experience of working in an Agile delivery team
- Cloud services (AWS or Azure)
- Containerisation and Orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes / Openshift)
- Elasticsearch/Opensearch
- Relational Databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Golang / JavaScript / TypeScript
- JavaScript frameworks - React, NextJS
- REST API development
- Use of Code repositories, familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests and merge processes
Nice to have Skills and Experience
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- Python
- OpenAPI/Swagger
- Testing experience (e.g. Mocha, Jest)
