Overview

In this role you will partner with UK leadership to shape and embed a comprehensive enterprise-wide people strategy within a mission-driven, highly regulated defence environment. You will lead across the full employee lifecycle, drive leadership excellence, and foster an inclusive culture aligned with our UK defence commitments. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and ensure people initiatives support strategic growth and operational readiness. This is a senior, cross-border role with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and strategic impact.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with in-country leadership to shape and embed the enterprise-wide people strategy
  • Lead across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Organisational Design and Organisational Effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Centres of Expertise to align people initiatives
  • Foster an inclusive culture and ensure adherence to UK defence standards
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior executives and challenge established norms as needed
  • Oversee workforce planning, compliance, and critical skills development in a regulated environment
  • Influence and drive organisational change using structured methodologies and tools
  • Manage projects and programmes to time, budget, and scope

Key requirements

  • Deep expertise in people consulting, preferably in defence, aerospace, government, or similarly regulated sectors
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-level talent strategies (talent development, succession, career pathways)
  • Strong capability in data interpretation to inform decisions and influence stakeholders
  • Experience leading organisational change and applying consulting frameworks
  • Robust project/programme management skills in complex organisations
  • Exceptional coaching and influencing abilities with senior leaders
  • Sound judgement in challenging senior stakeholders and transforming cultural norms
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices in regulated environments
  • Ability to operate within a global matrix and collaborate with US-based leadership
