Product Safety Management Engineer in Essex

b Overview /b p In this role you will help implement a centralized Product Safety Management System and drive a positive safety culture across Raytheon UK. You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to develop policy, processes and manuals, support regulatory approvals, and oversee safety risk management and occurrence reporting. Your work will shape PSMS strategy and improve safety performance across multiple product areas. This is a high-impact role for an experienced safety professional within a regulated defence context. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Deputise for Head of Product Safety Management System /li li Create and maintain PSMS strategy, policy, processes and manuals /li li Manage internal and external stakeholders interfacing with the PSMS /li li Oversee Product Safety Risk Management activities and promote a positive safety culture /li li Be a standing member of Business Area Product Safety risk reviews; provide specialist input and lessons learned /li li Lead Occurrence Reporting System activities and guide risk containment actions /li li Undertake safety investigations into contributory and causal factors /li li Produce Product Safety promotion materials /li li Advise business areas during Safety Risk Management activities and monitor risk registers /li li Be a key member of PSAG and PSEB driving continual PSMS improvement /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Safety experience in a regulated industry /li li Experience in Defence Programmes /li li Risk Management in a Safety context /li li Stakeholder Management /li li Understanding of Safety Culture and its implementation /li li Proficient in MS Office /li li Experience implementing new software systems /li /ul ul li Stakeholder Management /li li Understanding of Safety Culture /li li MS Office proficiency /li li Experience implementing new software systems /li li Knowledge of Product Safety Management System (PSMS) /li /ul
