In this role you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the Royal Navy Training Design Service. As the Senior Media Developer, you’ll support the business in delivering learning that is blended, active and provides customer delight.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce interactive media for customer training courses in accordance with Courseware / Media production process, Development Manual and Style Guide.
  • Develop interactive media in Unity using 3D assets provided by 3D developers; build the interactive functionality as part of the training delivery resource.
  • Produce interactive media in line with best practice in Graphic Design and Multi-Media.
  • Create media / animation sequences / eLearning / virtual environments with effective asset management and workflow; visualise and plan media along a timeline.
  • Comply with Raytheon and Customer policies.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task to support Raytheon where required.
  • Be responsible for Health and Safety of self, colleagues and customers.
  • Travel to other UK sites may be required due to customer training needs.
  • Champion and foster a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Any other duties required to complete the business.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in creating and developing media content with high proficiency in the field.
  • Must be organized and work well independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to understand and apply technical and non-technical information to visual media and animations.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to gather technical information from stakeholders outside the media team.
  • Must be able to qualify for SC security clearance.
  • Qualification in Digital Media, Graphic Design or a related field at minimum QCF Level 4 or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ experience in creating media content with intermediate 3D modelling / Unity development and/or Adobe Creative Cloud / Articulate 360.
Desirable:
  • Experience in developing interactive training (eLearning, multimedia).
  • Understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / WebGL.
  • Experience with Adobe CC Suite including Photoshop / Illustrator.
  • Recent experience in training design and development.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Knowledge of web design standards, responsive design and UI / UX design.
