Project Controller
Be at the forefront of transforming British Army training. As a Project Controller you will support the Raytheon UK Enterprise Performance Group (EPG) and ultimately deliver critical project scheduling and controls for the UK Army’s training transformation programme.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring logical sequencing, full resource loading and alignment to the fiscal calendar.
- Lead and support schedule development as the programme progresses, including critical path and risk analysis.
- Provide trend analysis and programme metrics, presenting at metrics review boards and customer meetings.
- Maintain contractual and baseline control, ensuring a clear auditable trail for changes.
- Generate and analyze Earned Value Management (EVM) data, including variance root‑cause analysis.
- Collate and analyse finance data (e.g., Estimates To Complete) on a monthly basis.
- Assist in developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS) for accurate cost and schedule reporting.
- Support bid and proposal activities by creating schedule scenarios for impact analysis.
- Contribute to the Programme Risk & Opportunity Management process, documenting and analysing schedule and cost risks.
- Create custom Power BI reports to provide clear, objective visibility of programme health.
Qualifications
- Experience working in joint or matrixed teams and communicating with military and industry partners.
- Seasoned professional in a Project / Programme Controls environment with strong EVM expertise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (EPM 2010/13/16) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using Power BI for report creation, troubleshooting, and requirement gathering.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, at all organisational levels.
- Ability to coach, guide and influence project teams to adhere to Raytheon standard practices.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen in complex project environments.
- Experience managing supplier and partner schedule integration.
- Eligibility to obtain SC MoD security clearance.
- Practical knowledge of IMS and EVM integration.
- Experience within the Defence Industry and training transformation programmes is desirable.
