About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Manufacturing team in Livingston. Raytheon UK are looking for a Mechanical Biased Engineer to support key manufacturing projects and showcase practical mechanical engineering skills. There are opportunities for training, career development and to get involved with the wider teams through a range of STEM and volunteering activities.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain standard rework routers and Temporary Work Instructions (TWIs) and raise appropriate rework routers for units
- Maintain and improve Manufacturing specifications for compliance and supporting associates
- Support production line and deal with queries
- Metrics, root cause and corrective action as required
- Support audit
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety requirements
- Support team in PRB activities and other quality investigations
- Assist in the set up and operation of the manufacturing layout
- Review manufacturing performance metrics and report any anomalies or trends and determine root cause and corrective & preventative actions
- Demonstrate practical mechanical engineering skills
Desirable qualifications
- HNC/HND/degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar subject e.g. Manufacturing Engineering
- Key skills include SAP & MES systems (e.g. Visiprise)
- Ideally you will have experience in a similar role or Manufacturing/Engineering/Defence/Mechanical company background
