Responsibilities
- Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
- Lead and support hardware‑software integration and troubleshooting
- Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions
- Lead design reviews and maintain documentation to the highest standards
- Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers
Required Experience
- Design of product test development hardware
- Creation of wiring schedules
- System interface design
- Proficiency with NI LabView/Teststand
- Ability to produce comprehensive technical design documentation
- Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production
- Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills
- Support and debugging of system integration
- Eligibility for a minimum of BPSS security clearance
Desirable Experience
- Significant test‑development experience in industry
- Understanding of common test architectures (PXI/LXI)
- Knowledge of measurement uncertainty in test equipment design and validation
- Software knowledge: NI LabView, CVI & TestStand, C#
