About The Role
A great opportunity for an Engineering Technician with multiple skills and experience to support a busy facilities team at our Manufacturing site in Livingston, West Lothian. Due to workload there may be times when callouts are required outside of standard hours.
Skills And Experience
- Achieved a minimum SVQ level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Installation and/or City and Guilds.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of one functional area through job experience & training in engineering/manufacturing industry.
- Have a sound working knowledge of all UK facilities biased statute.
Desired Qualifications/requirements
- Knowledge of asset protection systems to include fire alarm and sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of building management systems
- Knowledge of HVAC and cleanroom systems.
- Water hygiene knowledge and experience
- Experience in high pressure and high voltage systems.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations an advantage
- Experience of Microsoft Office packages.
- Flexible in working time (occasional weekend or out of hours)
- Fork lift truck trained ideal, but not essential
- Knowledge of Liquid nitrogen systems beneficial
Responsibilities
- Support site compliance for UK legislation and Raytheon standards and procedures.
- A working knowledge of asset protection and legislation to meet safety, insurance and Raytheon expectations.
- Execution of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Installation, fault finding, repair and maintenance of all site electrical and mechanical services, plant and equipment.
- Maintain building services to include HVAC, and BMS systems
- Work as part of the Glenrothes Facilities team, with high collaboration with site EHS and functional teams.
- Ability to respond to day to day activities in support of operational and customer needs.
- Accountable for the completion of standard or non-standard tasks, within the scope of the function
- Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their role.
- Makes decisions within parameters set by manager, using job/specialist experience.
- Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables.
- Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards.
