About the Role: Support and develop ERP SAP ABAP applications within our Digital Technology team. Responsibilities include maintaining the full application lifecycle, delivering new business requirements, testing, integration, and continuous system support.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business and functional teams to deliver system solutions that meet requirements.
- Provide timely system changes, bug fixes, and approved enhancements.
- Ensure availability, integrity and security of systems within published service levels.
- Respond to break‑fix requests, conduct preventative maintenance and provide out-of-hours support as required.
- Perform business analysis, systems analysis, programming, testing and documentation for SAP applications.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and deliver business requirements.
- Maintain configuration management tools, update change logs and system maps.
- Occasional site visits to other RSL locations and partner organisations.
Qualifications:
- Degree level education or equivalent.
- Strong SAP R3 and ABAP programming experience.
- Experience delivering and supporting business‑critical applications in a large organisation.
- Familiarity with formal system delivery methodologies.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of manufacturing or defence industry operations.
- Experience with SAP Business Process Automation (Redwood) CPS job scheduler.
- In‑depth knowledge of SAP technologies, databases and related application tools.
- Understanding of IT systems engineering disciplines: requirements, configuration, change control and quality management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and a collaborative, analytical working style.
