What You Will Do
In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Finance team and wider Finance function to support a wide range of critical activities that underpin the organisation’s financial performance. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of functional rates, undertake recoveries analysis to help optimise cost allocation, and support both capital and OPEX investment processes through forecasting, tracking and simple analytical insight. The position also feeds into functional business partnering, collaborating with teams across the organisation to provide clear financial guidance, support decision‑making and help drive operational efficiency. This role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence outcomes through high‑quality analysis and proactive engagement.
Responsibilities
- Rate Submissions: Help prepare information for planning cycles (LRP/AOP), support basic rate calculations, and assist with recoverability checks and putting together rate decks.

- Government Accounting: Provide support with compliance tasks, help gather information for regulatory reporting, and assist with organising internal and external audits.
- Functional Business Partnering: Work with non‑finance teams to collect accurate headcount information and help them understand core financial data.
- Capex and Change: Support tracking of capex and change spend, help with simple ROI calculations, update forecasts (including capitalisation and depreciation) and prepare clear summaries for senior reviews.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Desire to undertake CIMA and ambition to progress.
- Comfortable working with data and detail, able to communicate clear and simple messages.
- Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn, with developing analytical skills and confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Exposure to SAP, Excel, Power BI or other finance systems.
