Overview
OMNIA Government Furnished Assets (GFA) Manager role within the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) programme. Be at the forefront of transforming British Army training and deliver asset governance to support training capabilities across the programme.

Main duties
The GFA and Assets Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) and company assets across the ACTS programme. This includes oversight of equipment, facilities, services, information, and personnel provided by the Authority. The role ensures compliance with MOD standards and supports the delivery of training capabilities through effective asset governance, tracking, and reporting.
- Act as the single point of contact for all GFA-related matters within OMNIA
- Maintain and update the ACTS Public Stores Account (PSA) in accordance with DEF STAN 05-099 and DEFCON 694
- Oversee the delivery, receipt, inspection, acceptance, rejection, and return of GFA using MOD Forms (e.g., 650, 651, 750)
- Manage GFA lifecycle including loan extensions, loss reporting, and contract completion disposition
- Collaborate with Site Custodians, Authority representatives, and subcontractors to ensure accurate asset tracking and accountability
- Ensure premises occupied by OMNIA are properly maintained and secure
- Provide input to obsolescence management activities
- Ensure compliance with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) and IP governance requirements
- Support procurement and acquisition of new assets, including business case development and stakeholder engagement
- Oversee monthly and annual audits, stocktakes, and reporting
- Implement and maintain configuration and data management systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for asset utilisation, obsolescence management, and value-for-money assessments

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in asset management, logistics or defence programme delivery
- Strong understanding of MOD GFA categories (GFE, GFI, GFR, GFF, GFS) and associated DEFCONs/DEFSTANs
- Experience managing Public Stores Accounts and MOD asset documentation
- Familiarity with export control regulations (ITAR, EAR) and IP management practices
- Familiarity with Asset Management Tools, including selection, implementation and integration
- Proficiency in asset tracking systems and configuration management databases (e.g., CMDB)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong organisational and audit capabilities
- Proficiency in data analysis tools
- Excellent verbal, written and presentational communication
- Able to anticipate problems, identify innovative and logical solutions, and implement them confidently
- Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure
- Willingness to complete the SC Security Clearance application
