Responsibilities
- Manage Subcontractors / Suppliers with moderately sized contracts with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Participates in development of supplier Statements of Work (SOW)
- Performs or supports cost and price analysis
- Manage small projects or subcontracting processes with autonomy and accountability for delivery.
- Apply advanced knowledge of subcontracting practices to solve difficult and occasionally complex problems across multiple work areas.
- Management and negotiation of contracts, non-disclosure agreements and terms and conditions.
- Ensure quality and consistency in subcontract execution.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to align on policies, practices, and procedures.
- Influence operational decisions and contribute to the development and enhancement of subcontracting processes and systems.
- Deliver day-to-day objectives that have a significant impact on operational results within the programme.
- Utilises project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers.
- Evaluates the challenges faced by the programme(s)/organisation and the supply chains and takes action to mitigate risks and to develop opportunities
- Actively promotes the contributions that the function can make to achieving corporate objectives across the organisation, with stakeholders and with the supply chain
- Manage all costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system
- Works with suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve collaborative partnering and strategic relationship management to deliver value for the organisation
- Responsible for early subcontractor identification and engagement to support new business pursuits and provide risk and opportunity analysis for early capture.
