About the role:
Raytheon is looking for a Quality Engineer for the Sensors & Radar Business Area. Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, this role shall be responsible for delivering Quality Assurance in line with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy across the Sensors business unit. The QA Engineer shall also be integrated and aligned to the respective program team(s). Working as part of the QA Team, conducting day-to-day Quality Assurance activities whilst engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Writing and reviewing Quality Plans, customer or official standard documentation
- Ability to review & interpret technical drawings and/or test
- Developing and maintaining sound, productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Working Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI), AS9102
- Performing audits of products and processes within a program or business
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels and technical SMEs
- Guiding and supporting other team members and stakeholders in the needs of the business from a Compliance and QA perspective
- Using SAP for QA related activities
- Working with suppliers to resolve Quality Issues
Knowledge/Experience:
- Self-starter, flexible and positive attitude. Team Player
- Knowledge of or conversant with Standards ISO9001 and or AS9100
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing and 8Ds, RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies, GEMBA
- Stakeholder Management and a proactive approach to risk reduction and continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills at all business levels
- Working knowledge of SAP for QA activities
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering Organisations
Desirable:
- ISO Auditor Trained (ISO9001 and or AS9100)
- Awareness of IPC soldering std
- Knowledge of APQP/PPAP, AQAPs

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts
- Lead Quality Working Groups to diagnose and mitigate product non-conformities identified internally and externally. RCCA and Non-Conformance Management
- Providing advice to all Program Leads on the quality aspects of the work being undertaken
- Ensuring compliance with standards, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and creating quality documentation
- Defect investigation to identify/address root cause
- Perform the quality activities within the Sensors Programs in support of the Design activities, respective Quality Assurance Plans i.e. First Article Inspections, Source Inspections, support to Quality Assurance Working Groups, checks on incoming and outgoing products i.e. Certificates of Conformance
- Conducting Internal Audits with effective and timely monitoring and status reporting for assigned owners of audit findings
- Assist the Engineering & Manufacturing teams define requirements for new products
- Customer liaison on any External Customer visits, quality audits or meetings
- Concession management, Quality support to the technical design organization and program reviews
