About the role
Raytheon UK’s Courseware and Media Development Capability (CMDC) is looking for Instructional Designers to support training development of our training materials.
Responsibilities
- Produce engaging Articulate Storyline builds for our customer’s training courses in accordance with Courseware / Media production process, Development Manual and Style Guide.
- Creation of courses exploiting effective asset management and workflow. Visualising and planning of content and media along a timeline.
- Comply with Raytheon and Customer policies.
- Carry out any other reasonable task such as assisting other areas within Raytheon when required.
- Employees are responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of work colleagues and customers.
- The nature of Customer’s training requires a high degree of flexibility for all Raytheon staff; there may be a requirement for travel to other sites within the UK.
- Be responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
- Any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service.
Requirements
- Design, develop, and implement training solutions within Articulate Storyline that enhance learner engagement.
- Apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles to create high-quality learning experiences.
- Ensure instructional materials align with best practices and internal quality standards.
- Must be organized and work well both independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to comprehend/interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to visual media and animations.
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to use MS Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders outside of the CMDC team to gather technical information necessary for media requirements.
- The successful candidate must be able to qualify for SC security clearance.
Desirable
- Experience using Moodle or working with an LMS.
- Previous experience of developing high-quality courses for digital learning & training.
- Creation of animation sequences exploiting effective asset management and workflow.
- Visualising and planning of content and media along a timeline.
- Knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
