To support our existing business and drive future growth, we have 3 opportunities for Apprentice Welder/Fabricators within our Power and Control division at the HS Marston facility in the West Midlands.

What you will do:

  • Play a hands‑on role in building, maintaining, and supporting the production of high precision aircraft components and systems.
  • Operate and maintain workshop tools, machinery, and equipment under supervision.
  • Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of aircraft components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Support routine inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities.
  • Follow strict safety, regulatory, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and senior craft professionals.
  • Participate in classroom‑based and on‑the‑job training modules.

What you will learn:

This comprehensive Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with InComm, is ideally suited to you if you are motivated, diligent, and excited by a career in Aerospace Manufacturing/Engineering. Alongside gaining hands‑on experience you will work toward a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship helping to shape a strong foundation for your future career – which we hope may lead to securing a permanent role with us!

Qualifications we prefer:

We expect that you will be just starting your career in Manufacturing so, alongside our training partner, we will delight in training and supporting you through your career journey to successfully complete your apprenticeship. That means you need to be a willing learner and committed to achieving both business and personal results whilst working as part of a team. With a natural curiosity for how things work and hands‑on tasks, you will be a strong communicator and problem‑solver, with good attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions. You will have obtained a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics and English and a STEM subject.
