You’ll work in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Programme Management Team. Ultimately, you’ll work for the British Army, championing innovation, and helping shape the future of military training.
Main DutiesThe Business Analyst plays a critical role in analysing business processes, requirements, and performance data to improve organisational efficiency and support decision-making. Working across multi-functional teams, the Business Analyst ensures services, systems, and processes are aligned with organisational objectives, governance, and quality standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and performance requirements.
- Capture, document, and validate business requirements, workflows, and processes.
- Assist the development of improvements through structured gap analysis, risk identification, and process mapping.
- Translate technical and data-driven information into clear business insights.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, MIs, and PIs using tools such as Power BI or equivalent.
- Analyse performance trends, training data, system reliability, and operational risks to identify actionable insights.
- Prepare high-quality reports for governance forums, senior leadership, and wider stakeholders.

Success will require innovative thinking, forward planning, and an ability to react quickly to changes. There will be significant exposure and excellent opportunity to advance within the company.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting business data, trends, and performance metrics.
- Experience producing governance reports, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
- Ability to gather requirements, map processes, and facilitate workshops.
- Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex information into clear insights.
- Good understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement models.
- Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL desirable).
- Experience within defence, government, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with training and assurance systems (e.g., DSAT, MOD processes, CTEMS).
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 44001, ISO 27001).
- Exposure to safety management, audit processes, or compliance frameworks.
- Experience using AI enabled data analytics tools.
- Degree in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Business Analysis certification desirable.
- Security clearance (or willingness to obtain) if required.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Proactive and collaborative with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic, evolving environments.
