About the role: The Training Solution Lead is responsible to the CTO for the identification of new or innovative technology or learning methodologies that will enable learning and support contract growth or provide efficiencies. They are also in place to work with the programme teams, Partners and customers to identify growth opportunities and develop compelling technical solutions that provide value for money and customer delight.
Skills and Experience
- The Training Solution Lead should have experience of technical leadership and management and developing technical proposals through all phases including initial concept, bid and proposal, planning, execution and close.
- A demonstrable and applied knowledge of learning technology and methodologies.
- Experienced and capable in developing compelling technical proposals.
- Communicate proposals and status, clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively improve the capabilities and knowledge across the TTS business.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fine attention to detail.
- Good level of IT knowledge.
Desirable
- Experience within UK Defence, Public Sector or Private Sector.
- Programme management tools and applications.
- Agile methodologies.
- Must be willing and eligible to hold SC security clearance and possibly obtain DV clearance if required.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrable understanding of the DSAT (JSP822) and other training/learning design processes and models, experience in TNA development would be useful.
- Experience in developing learning content and has a practiced knowledge in the application of methods and media such as eLearning, Virtual Reality, Computer Aided instruction.
- Able to translate/develop technical requirements from customer needs.
- Practised knowledge of modelling, simulation and synthetics and JPS 939.
- Highly collaborative individual who can liaise with peers from other disciplines and businesses and the Functional leadership team to develop winning business proposals.
- Strong consultancy skills and experience of developing business partnerships.
- Successfully developed and implemented large-scale training solutions in established and new environments using new and emerging training technologies, within Defence, Public and/or Private Sector.
- Experience in developing collective and individual training solutions developed within an industry-recognised methodology.
- Provide optimal solutions based upon sound reasoning and judgment, balancing technical and business constraints.
- Highly effective communication skills (written and oral) in describing the training solution proposals, status, risks, opportunities and issues.
- Experience in planning, estimation and delivery of technical programmes.
