Senior Test Development Engineer – responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, subsystem, and system level. Works on technologies supporting Control Actuation Systems, Guidance Electronics, and GPS Anti‑Jamming systems across land, sea, air, and space.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
  • Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
  • Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions
  • Lead design reviews and documentation to the highest standards
  • Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers

Required Experience

  • Design of product Test Development Hardware
  • Wiring schedules
  • System interface design
  • Appreciation of NI LabView/TestStand
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation
  • Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to support/debug system integration
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance to a minimum of BPSS

Desirable experience: significant test development experience in industry, understanding of common test architectures (PXI/LXI), measurement uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation, software knowledge of NI LabView, CVI & TestStand, C#.
